<p>Dr. Debojyoti Moulick is a highly distinguished scientist recognized in the 2025 Stanford University/Elsevier list of the world&rsquo;s top 2% most influential scientists. With a multidisciplinary background in Microbiology and Biotechnology, he earned his M.Phil. and Ph.D. in Environmental Science from the University of Kalyani. <p>Dr. Sukamal Sarkar is an agricultural scientist and Assistant Professor of Agronomy at Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Educational and Research Institute. A distinguished researcher, he is ranked among the Top 2% Scientists Worldwide (2025) by Stanford University and Elsevier, a testament to his global impact and citation influence. Dr. Sarkar specializes in cropping systems modelling, agro-meteorology, and climate-smart agriculture. His expertise lies in integrating long-term field experimentation with process-based simulation models, particularly the APSIM framework, to optimize decision support for coastal and dryland agro-ecosystems. Dr. Sarkar&rsquo;s collaborative work with international partners like CSIRO and IRRI has led to significant advances in greenhouse gas mitigation and nutrient management. Before his academic tenure, he served as Assistant Director of Agriculture for the Government of West Bengal, bridging the gap between high-level research and large-scale extension programs.
