Godfrey Grech

Professor Godfrey Grech is a renowned oncology researcher and health innovator. He currently holds the position of a full Professor at the University of Malta. In addition to the local and international impact of his research output, he has a highly effective approach to public outreach, providing knowledge on lifestyle interventions to prevent disease. His entrepreneurship skills has led to innovation of health programs aimed to resolve chronic inflammation using test-based approaches. Today the main impact includes the isolation and characterisation of tumour-derived vesicles that are present in blood and hence can be used for early detection of cancer and management of patients with minimal invasive techniques.

His innovative approach established a network of health professionals leading to the implementation of the Gut Restore Program at Saint James Hospitals, addressing intestinal dysfunction, and the Mythos Performance Intelligence as a preventive approach to metabolic dysfunction, providing a test-based and integrative approach to resolve suboptimal health and prevent disease.
