Emily-Marie Pacheco

Emily-Marie Pacheco (PhD) is a Research Scientist in Social Psychology and a Chartered Psychologist with the British Psychological Society. Her major research has explored the lived experiences of diaspora from conflict zones during times of escalated violence and resilience building through psychosocial intervention for young people and communities in disaster-affected regions as part of Disaster Risk Reduction and Education initiatives. Although previously based at the University of Glasgow and University College London (UCL), Dr Pacheco is now a Lecturer in Clinical and Health Psychology at the University of Edinburgh with a focus on well-being, resilience, and identity.
