Dmitry Yakushkin

Dr. Yakushkin is a former journalist who worked in public relations before turning to research and teaching, specialising in political, social and corporate communications.

This book grew out of a special course he taught as a visiting professor at the Faculty of Social Studies at Tel Aviv University on communication during conflicts.

Born in 1957 in Moscow, Dmitry Yakushkin worked for two decades as a journalist in print media and television focusing on international politics. Based on his posting in France in the 90ties, D. Yakushkin wrote his first book titled “Parisian Stories.” After journalism he led major communication projects in the public and business spheres having dealt with complex communications challenges throughout his career.

Soviet/ U.S. relations during the Cold War represent an area of special interest for D.Yakushkin. He had the opportunity to meet and conduct interviews with key witnesses to those events: diplomats, historians, journalists, political scientists. Dmitry Yakushkin speaks fluent English and French.
