Auch wenn die beiden Todesfälle durch ein ganzes Jahrhundert getrennt sind, haben die Opfer mehr gemeinsam, als Meg ahnt. Ohne ihren Lieblingsmenschen Laurie an ihrer Seite versucht Meg mit ihrer Geisterfreundin Ripley die Fälle zu lösen, weshalb sie sich selbst bald in Lebensgefahr befindet. Peace returns to the Morrisey Building only briefly, because shortly after her first murder case, Meg discovers a secret staircase in the basement that leads to the infamous underground city of Seattle. Amid flickering lights, retro ghosts, and speakeasies, she encounters not only suspicious bartenders and a multitude of puzzles—but also two dead bodies. Although the two deaths are separated by a full century, the victims have more in common than Meg realizes. Without her favourite person Laurie by her side, Meg teams up with her ghost friend Ripley to solve the cases—putting herself in grave danger. Will Meg manage to make it out alive this time as well?
