Adam Fletcher, 1983 in England geboren, lebt seit 2010 in Berlin. Nachdem er die halbe Welt bereist hatte, stand ihm seine größte Reise noch bevor: die Reise zu sich selbst. Adam Fletcher is a 39-year-old, bald Englishman living in Berlin – Germany’s formerly poor and sexy Hauptstadt. Even after a decade of living in Germany, he remains one of the country’s most enthusiastic students, and has gained diplomas in recycling, potato preparation, and Schlager singing. In 2018, he and his adopted homeland made their relationship official, and in a moving ceremony lasting about forty seconds, he officially became German. He is proud.
Adam Fletcher ist Engländer, 39 Jahre alt, glatzköpfig und lebt in Berlin – der deutschen Hauptstadt, die einst arm, aber sexy war. Auch nach einem Jahrzehnt in Deutschland ist er noch immer einer der enthusiastischsten Studenten des Landes und hat Diplome in Recycling, Kartoffelzubereitung und Schlagersingen erworben. 2018 haben er und seine Wahlheimat ihre Beziehung offiziell gemacht, und in einer bewegenden Zeremonie, die etwa vierzig Sekunden dauerte, wurde er offiziell Deutscher. Robert M. Schöne ist Deutscher, Einsiedler und freiberuflicher Grafikdesigner. Die meiste Zeit verbringt er damit, seltsame Schriften und Illustrationen mit Delphinen zu sammeln. Er hat 37 der 50 Schritte von «Wie man Deutscher wird» erfolgreich absolviert, weigert sich aber resolut, beim roten Ampelmännchen zu warten oder «richtige» Arbeit zu finden.
About the Illustrator Robert M. Schöne is a German freelance graphic designer and hermit. He mostly spends his time collecting obscure fonts and dolphin-themed clipart. He has successfully completed 37 of «How to be German’s» 50 steps, but flat out refuses to wait at the red Ampelmännchen or get a «real» job.
