Sandro Zagatti (deceased)

<p>Born in 1963 near Bologna, <strong>Sandro Zagatti</strong> graduated in Physics from the University of Bologna and began his academic career at SISSA, where he earned his PhD in 1992 under the supervision of Prof. Arrigo Cellina, with a thesis on the calculus of variations. Sandro Zagatti made a significant contribution to the academic and research life of SISSA, serving as a permanent researcher since 1996. His passion for teaching made him a key reference point for many students, as he contributed to the teaching of advanced mathematical analysis both in the joint Master&rsquo;s program with the University of Trieste and in the PhD program in Mathematical Analysis, Modelling and Applications at SISSA.</p>
