Norbert Fraeyman

Norbert Fraeyman (*1948) graduated as a PhD in biochemistry in 1983 and became a professor in biochemical pharmacology/toxicology at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Ghent, Medical School in 1993. Fraeyman joined the board of the University Hospital Ghent in 1995 as an expert in environmental issues and lectured on “Health and environment” in the Medical School. NF published about 50 scientific papers on different subjects, including fundamental bio-medical research and a book on alternative medical treatments closely related to pharmacology. Fraeyman retired from the Faculty in 2013 but is still active as an expert linked to the board of the University Hospital. NF is active in the Superior Health Council related to matters of environment and health in the section “Chemical Agents” and contributes to several current advices.
