Itsuo Takanami

Itsuo Takanami received the M.S. degree in 1967 and Dr. Eng. degree in 1970 from Tohoku University in Japan. He was an assistant professor and an associate professor from 1970 to 1971 and from 1971 to 1974 at Tohoku University, respectively. From 1974 to 1994 he was a professor at Yamaguchi University and now an emeritus processor of the university, from 1994 to 2000 a professor at Iwate University, and from 2000 to 2005 the president at Ichinoseki National College of Technology and now an emeritus processor of the college. His current interest is fault tolerant computing systems, including artificial neural network (perceptron). He is currently researching with a colleague in Yamaguchi University.
