Henning Ohlsson

<p><strong>Henning Ohlsson</strong> is a sustainability management consultant, seasoned executive, and keynote speaker. He previously served as Director of Sustainability at Epson Europe, where he led all ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) activities across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. For over 20 years, he was also the CEO of Epson Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. In 2020, he was recognized as the 9th most influential CSR leader worldwide by Assent Compliance in their Top 100 CSR Influencers list. Before his tenure at Epson, he held various international leadership roles, including General Manager for Central and Eastern Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Russia at Motorola, Sales and Marketing Director at Nokia, and Head of Marketing at IBM. Today, he runs his own consultancy, leading a network of international sustainability experts. In his free time, Henning spends extensive periods exploring nature through expeditions and hiking in Africa and Asia. He holds a degree in Business Administration from the University of Cologne.</p>
<p><br><strong>Alastair Bourne</strong>, born in London, studied history at the University of Reading before joining an office equipment company in the UK. He then traveled extensively in Asia and Africa, and spent several years working in Japan and then Australia before finally returning to Japan in 1997. A fluent Japanese speaker, he worked as a translator before joining Nagano-based Seiko Epson Corp. in 1999 in their in-house translation department. Before long, he was transferred to Epson&rsquo;s PR Dept. where he became responsible for global communications including press releases, executive interviews, web and social media and sustainability communications. He also worked in investor relations and corporate strategy, gaining a deep knowledge of Japanese corporate life from the inside. With the company&rsquo;s increasing focus on sustainable products and operations, he became familiar with the benefits and challenges of corporate sustainability. Alastair spends most of his spare time hiking near his home in Nagano Prefecture and beyond. In 2022, he became one of the few non-Japanese to climb all of Japan&rsquo;s 100 famous mountains. On his hikes and travels around Japan, he has noticed the direct impact of climate change on the mountains and their delicate environment</p>
