Guillaume Graciani

Guillaume Graciani is both an engineer from the Institut d'Optique Graduate School, serving as an expert consultant in optics for the industry, and a Doctor from Ecole Polytechnique, working on research topics at the intersection of fundamental optics and health. Awarded the “Best Thesis Award” by the Institut Polytechnique de Paris for his work on 3D stochastic interferometry, he began his career in South Korea, where he developed new instruments based on optical interferometry and light scattering for the study of protein biogenesis, and the development of antibody-based therapeutic drugs. Currently an Associate Professor at the Institut Polytechnique de Paris, Dr. Graciani works on non-conventional optical systems, using statistical optics and machine learning to build new instruments capable of probing both living systems and the environment. Recent laureate of an international science communication competition organized by Nature, he is also dedicated to science communication, engaging the public through lectures, publications, and visual arts.
