Diwakar Gupta

<p><strong>Diwakar Gupta </strong>is a Professor in the Department of Information, Risk, and Operations Management at the University of Texas at Austin. His research bridges engineering and business disciplines to improve health care operations, ranging from scheduling and staffing operating rooms and managing appointment systems to procuring and utilizing deceased-donor organs for transplantation. Dr. Gupta has also studied vaccine procurement contracts for developing countries and bundled payments and gain sharing contracts in procurement of health services. In addition to health care operations, Dr. Gupta has published extensively in the areas of supply chain and revenue management.</p>
