Chris Fields

Chris Fields, Ph.D., is a member of the Allen Discovery Center of Tufts University as well as a private consultant.  He received his Ph.D. in Philosophy from the University of Colorado. He is an Information Theorist having worked in nuclear physics, AI applications, neuromorphic computing, and bioinformatics.  His work currently focuses on the interface between quantum information, computing, and the life sciences.

James F. Glazebrook, Ph.D., is Emeritus Professor in the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at Eastern Illinois University and member of the Adjunct Faculty in the Department of Mathematics at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.  He received his Ph.D. in Mathematics from the University of Warwick and has held academic appointments in Mexico, Canada, and the USA. His research interests have included geometric analysis, operator theory/algebras and category theory. Currently, he is applying mathematical methods to cognitive neuroscience, aspects of biology (protein dynamics and neuromorphic development), artificial intelligence (classical and quantum frame problems), and quantum information in relationship to the principles of free energy and active inference.
