Anamaria Hell

Anamaria Hell is a Project Researcher at the Kavli Institute for the Physics and Mathematics of the Universe, The University of Tokyo. She earned her Ph.D. with the highest honors (summa cum laude) from Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München, Germany, under the mentorship of Prof. Viatcheslav Mukhanov. Her doctoral research on the massless limit of massive gauge theories—particularly massive Yang-Mills theory—revealed novel insights into high-energy behavior and its connections to massive gravity. This work earned her the prestigious ASC PhD Prize in 2022.

Dr. Hell’s research interests also extend to modified gravity theories and cosmological models. She has delivered numerous invited seminars and conference talks worldwide and was awarded the Julian S. Schwinger Diploma at the International School of Subnuclear Physics (58th Course: Gravity and Matter in the Subnuclear World, Erice, Sicily) for Best New Talent. Most recently, she was a plenary speaker at COSMO’24, the leading cosmology conference. Dr. Hell’s contributions highlight her expertise and innovative thinking in field theory and cosmology.
