The various chapters explore and discuss the four principles that shape leading for mission, which form the same principles that guide leading the Catholic school: Living Tradition; Liberating Purpose; Integral Learning; and Authentic Witness. In this book, faith, culture, and life come together in leadership which aligns with a framework for mission that is centered in a Living Tradition, narrated in a Liberating Purpose, engages Integral Learning, and is reflected in Authentic Witness. Grounded in theological and philosophical reflection, the paradigm of leading for mission aligned with the mission of the Catholic school bridges disciplines of education, theology, and psychology to create a leadership framework that is integrated, inspired, and infused with faith. It examines their localised LAL needs in the natural teaching contexts and also documents LAL developmental trajectories by tracking how instructors acquire, enhance, and sustain LAL through engagement in assessment practices. Furthermore, the book explores the construction of instructors' assessment identities alongside their LAL development. Finally, the study analyses how contextual, experiential, and personal factors influence instructors’ LAL development, probes challenges and opportunities they may encounter, and explores how they mobilise these dynamics to enhance their LAL and construct their assessment identities.
The findings offer practical insights for university English instructors, university/department administrators, assessment trainers/training providers. These insights serve as guidance for enhancing instructors' LAL, thereby improving assessment quality within Chinese universities.
//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0920/5455/2903/files/language-assessment-literacy-development-ebook.webp?v=1775017059
indias-higher-education-in-the-global-context-ebook
India's Higher Education in the Global Context

Chapter 1 Introduction.- Part 1 Globalization versus IHE-Digital and Distance Learning Modes, Student Mobility, Faculty Exchange and Commercial Establishments.- Chapter 2 Internationalization of Higher Education Services: Trends, Challenges and Prospects.- Chapter 3 Understanding Internationalisation through the Notion of an International(- ised) Student.- Chapter 4 Walking the Tight-Rope of Harmonization: Contextualizing UNESCO’s Global Convention on Recognition of Qualifications.- Part 2 Curricular Reforms, Credit Transfer and Global Convention on Qualifications for Internationalization at Home and Abroad.- Chapter 5 Strengthening Transnational Learning in a Volatile and Uncertain World: Sustainable Local and Global Communities.- Chapter 6 Stakeholders' Perspectives on Internationalization of Higher Education in India: Narratives from Gujarat.- Part 3 Labour Market and Factors Affecting the Global Flow of Tertiary Level Students.- Chapter 7 Conceptualising Internationalisation for Connecting Higher Education to the Global Labour Market.- Part 4 Assessment of Quality, Accreditation and Regulations for IHE.- Chapter 8 Internationalization of Indian Higher Education: Revisiting the Policies Initiatives.- Chapter 9 Recognition of TNE Qualifications: Challenges and Opportunities.- Chapter 10 Quality Global Education (and its proxies).- Part 5 Financing, Affordability and Equity Concerns in IHE.- Chapter 11 Affordability and Financial Challenges in the Internationalisation of Higher Education.- Chapter 12. This volume concentrates on papers in the area of clean energy.

Despite considerable progress, more than 700 million people worldwide still lack access to electricity, and around 2.4 billion people continue to use harmful and polluting fuels for cooking. While efforts have been made to promote renewable energy and energy efficiency, they have not been fast enough to achieve Sustainable Development Goal 7. Adding to the challenge, the ongoing war in Ukraine has contributed to rising global energy prices and heightened energy insecurity in Europe. In response to the energy crisis, some European countries are planning to accelerate the transition to renewables and increase investments in clean energy and energy efficiency. However, others are considering a resurgence of coal, which poses a risk to the overall green transition.

Between 2010 and 2020, the percentage of the global population with access to electricity increased from 83% to 91%, with 1.3 billion people gaining access. Nevertheless, this leaves approximately 733 million people still without electricity, and most of them reside in sub-Saharan Africa. Achieving universal access by 2030, the annual growth rate in access needs to accelerate from 0.5 percentage points to 0.9 percentage points, necessitating significant efforts in low-income, fragile, and conflict-affected countries. In 2020, 69% of the global population had access to clean cooking fuels and technologies. While more than half of those without access to clean cooking fuels live in Asia, the 20 countries with the lowest percentage of people having access to clean cooking were predominantly least developed countries in Africa.

The share of renewable sources in total final energy consumption reached 17.7% globally in 2019, just slightly higher than the figure for 2015. Technology in learning settings has often been used in cautious ways, typically replicating existing, non-technological educational processes. This book proposes that educators be more ambitious with the way they conceive of, and use, technology in secondary and tertiary classrooms. It provides guidance towards that end by considering the history of application of educational technologies, by interrogating common fears around their use, and by exploring the benefits of contemporary uses of technology in assessment and virtual reality, for learning through the presentation and analysis of empirical research. It also charts a history of application of various educational technologies amid the dominant pedagogies in which they are introduced.
